Affiliate terms

These terms govern the CertCrafter affiliate programme. Applying to the programme, and using an affiliate link, means accepting them. They sit alongside our general terms and privacy policy.
How commission is earned
You earn 30% of the sale value of any CertCrafter bundle bought through your link, at whatever rate is shown in your dashboard. Sale value means the amount charged for the product, before any sales tax or VAT collected by our payment provider and before payment-processing fees.
Attribution uses a 60-day cookie on a last-click basis. If a visitor arrives through your link and buys within 60 days, the sale is yours — unless they click a different affiliate's link in the meantime, in which case it is theirs. Where the referral code reaches our payment provider with the order, that record takes precedence over the cookie, because it is the more reliable of the two.
Commission is earned on the products our catalogue sells at the time of purchase. There is one tier: you earn on sales you refer, not on sales referred by affiliates you introduce.
When it is paid
- Commission is held for 30 days from the date of sale, so that our 30-day customer refund window has closed before money moves.
- After the hold it becomes payable, and is paid in the following monthly payout run.
- Payouts are made once your payable balance is at least $50.00. A smaller balance rolls over to the next month. It does not expire.
- We pay by PayPal, Wise, bank transfer or UPI, to the details on your account. Transfer fees charged by your chosen method come out of the payout.
- You are responsible for any tax due on what you earn. We do not withhold, and we are not your employer, partner or agent.
Refunds, chargebacks and reversals
No commission is due on a refunded, disputed or charged-back order. When one of those happens the commission reverses automatically and leaves your balance; you will see the sale in your dashboard marked as reversed rather than silently disappearing. If a reversal arrives after we have already paid you, we deduct it from your next payout.
What is prohibited
Any of the following ends your participation, and forfeits unpaid commission:
- Self-referral. Buying through your own link, or through an account sharing your email address, household or payment method. This is blocked automatically.
- Brand bidding. Paid search ads on "CertCrafter" or misspellings of it, on our product names, or on our domain. You may bid on generic exam terms.
- Spam. Unsolicited email, unsolicited direct messages, comment spam, forum spam, or posting your link where the venue's rules forbid it.
- False claims. Stating or implying a pass rate, a guarantee, an endorsement, an affiliation with an awarding body, or that our material is official or real exam content. It is none of those things.
- Impersonation. Sites, accounts, handles or domains that present themselves as CertCrafter, or that include our name in a domain.
- "Free CertCrafter" pages. Anything offering our question banks free, cracked, leaked, shared, or as a coupon that does not exist. This includes "free download" and "torrent" pages built to capture search traffic.
- Coupon and deal listings advertising discount codes we have not issued to you.
- Cookie stuffing, forced clicks, hidden iframes, redirect chains, typosquatting, or automated traffic of any kind.
- Browser extensions or toolbars that set the referral cookie without a deliberate click.
Disclosure is required
You must disclose that your links are affiliate links, clearly and close to the link itself, wherever your audience will see it before they click. This is not a courtesy — it is a legal requirement in most places our buyers live, including:
- United States: the FTC Endorsement Guides require a clear and conspicuous disclosure.
- United Kingdom: the CAP Code and consumer protection regulations require that paid promotion is obviously identifiable, commonly as "#ad".
- European Union: the Unfair Commercial Practices Directive, as implemented locally.
- India, Australia, Canada and most other markets have equivalent rules.
"I may earn a commission if you buy through this link, at no extra cost to you" is enough. Burying it in a footer, a hover, or the middle of a long page is not. Where you are on a platform with its own disclosure tool — a YouTube paid-promotion checkbox, an Instagram label — use that as well.
Claims you may make
These are accurate and we will stand behind them:
- Original practice questions written against the published exam blueprint.
- An explanation for every answer, including why the wrong options are wrong.
- Lifetime access for a one-off payment, with no subscription.
- A free ten-question sample on every certification, with no sign-up.
- A 30-day refund policy.
- Independent study material, not affiliated with or endorsed by any awarding body.
Suspension and changes
We may suspend or remove an affiliate for breaching these terms, for traffic we reasonably believe to be fraudulent, or where continuing would damage the reputation of the product. Where the reason is not fraud we will tell you what it was and pay any commission already matured.
We may change the commission rate, the cookie window or the payout terms. Changes apply to sales referred after we notify you by email, never retrospectively to commission already earned. Either of us may end the arrangement at any time; commission already matured is still paid.
